Office of the Registrar

The Office of the Registrar is an academic support unit of the Dominican College of Tarlac which manages operations in the areas of admission, registration, and records. It serves as the main front line service unit as regards curricular and academic matters.

Registration/Enrollment

Enrollment

Enrollment must be completed within the official enrollment period as indicated in the academic calendar.

A student is considered officially enrolled only after their enrollment is confirmed at the Office of the Registrar. This confirmation is typically marked by the stamping of the Certificate of Registration (COR) with “OFFICIALLY ENROLLED”

An applicant for enrolment who cannot present all valid requirements will be considered a temporary enrollee. S/he must execute a promissory note stating a definite date of submission of the lacking credentials.

Students are officially registered for a course only when they have completed the enrollment process.

Students not officially registered for a course will not receive credit for the course at the end of the semester/school year.

Late Enrollment

A student can enroll and be admitted for late enrollment but it must be within two weeks after the official start of classes. After this period, enrollment shall be automatically closed.

Any student who fails to enroll within the official enrollment period shall be considered a late enrollee and shall be assessed a late enrollment fee. This policy does not apply to new students, transferees, and returnees.

Requests for exemption due to valid, documented reasons for late enrollment (e.g. hospitalization, force majeure) must be submitted in writing to the Registrar’s Office before the end of the late enrollment period and will be reviewed by the Registrar. Approval is not guaranteed.
